Why I Started 10x Solo

I believe being a solo B2B service provider is one of the best career paths for experienced professionals. It can create real wealth in money, time, and purpose without sacrificing family or meaningful work.

But growing a solo business alone is hard. There are dozens of viable paths, and no shortage of people insisting theirs is the only right one. The truth is simpler: there isn’t one best model, only the one that fits your goals, energy, and season of life.

Over the past few years, I’ve tested nearly every solo model myself. Fractional CMO. Productized consulting. Agency. Advisory. Each taught me what scales, what quietly drains me, and what creates leverage.

10x Solo exists for experienced B2B service providers who want to keep growing, but don’t want to make high-stakes decisions in isolation. It’s a place to get perspective from peers who are actively in the work, learn what’s working right now, and build relationships that compound over time.

I don’t have all the answers, and I’m not a guru. I’m still building and refining every day. But I’m committed to sharing what works, being honest about what doesn’t, and learning alongside others on the same path.

If this is the path you’re on, 10x Solo was built for you.

Frequently asked questions

Who is 10x Solo designed for?

10x Solo is for full-time consultants, fractionals, advisors, and micro-agency owners who sell B2B services and already have at least one paying client. Many (but not all) members work with software companies or agencies. They are focused on growing income and finding leverage—not hiring big teams or chasing endless hours.

How is this different from other communities or coaching programs?

10x Solo is intentionally small and curated to foster real connection and focus. We also don’t believe there’s one right way to build a solo business, but we do believe there are consistent principles among successful solos. Together, we’re learning what those are and sharing them openly so everyone can improve and grow together.

What do members actually get access to?

Members get access to a private Slack space for focused discussions and weekly workshops and live discussions. Everything is built for B2B service solos who want clarity, connection, and steady progress. More connection points, trusted partner discounts, and new resources will be added as the community grows.

How much does it cost to join?

Membership is currently $199 per year. If you find within the first 30 days that it's not for you, I'll give you a full refund, no questions asked. (Okay, truthfully, I may ask you how I can improve things going forward, but I won't be pushy.)

The membership gives full access to the private community, expert workshops, and member discussions.

Join once. Lock in the rate. If pricing increases later, your rate does not.

How much time should I expect to spend in the community?

Most members spend a few hours per month joining meetups, workshops, and/or connecting with peers. There’s no pressure (engage when you can), but active participation creates the most value.

How are members selected?

Each application is reviewed individually to make sure it’s a good fit. We’re looking for full-time consultants, fractionals, and solopreneurs who provide B2B services, have at least one paying client, and want to build leveraged, freedom-focused businesses. Members should also have the time and willingness to engage—joining meetups, giving feedback, and helping others grow. This keeps the community high-quality, collaborative, and valuable for everyone involved.

Can I promote my services inside the community?

We have a strict no-pitching policy except in designated spaces, such as the #shameless-promotion channel. Referrals happen naturally because members work with similar types of clients, but the focus is on collaboration, problem-solving, and sharing what works. If you’re interested in promoting your services to the community, contact Garrett to learn about community sponsorship opportunities.
